The Government of Montenegro has withdrawn the amendments to the Law on Foreigners

Dear clients, you can rest assured. No changes will be adopted. The Government of Montenegro has withdrawn the amendments to the Law on Foreigners that previously caused a strong reaction from foreign investors and the business community. Temporary residence permits are still granted and extended upon the purchase of real estate of any value. The existing rules remain unchanged. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty that arose earlier, some investors had already withdrawn from investing in Montenegro; however, as of today, the situation has been fully stabilized.
