Russians No Longer Among the Five Largest Investors in Montenegro
The net inflow of foreign direct investment into Montenegro amounted to €314.39 million, which is 4.75% less than in the same period last year.
The largest volume of investment came from Turkey — €92.19 million. Serbia ranks second with €91.84 million. Germany follows with €43.48 million.
Investments totaling €41.56 million came to Montenegro from the United States. Next on the list is Cyprus with nearly €40 million. The UAE invested €30.65 million.
Russians, who previously were the largest investors in Montenegro, have dropped to seventh place in terms of investment volume. Russian citizens invested around €25.6 million, with more than half of that amount — about €13 million — directed toward real estate.
