SEPA payment system has begun operating in Montenegro

From 7.10.2025, the SEPA payment system has begun operating in Montenegro, allowing account holders to make payments across the eurozone with significantly lower fees.

As of now, the transfer fee has been standardized for all banks in Montenegro:

– €0.02 for the first transfer of the day up to €200 for individuals;
– €1.99 for electronic transfers up to €20,000;
– €25 for electronic transfers over €20,000.

For transfers made at a bank counter, the cost is higher: €3.99 for amounts up to €20,000 and €50 for larger transactions.
